Root Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 without PC

A tutorial to root Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 by step to step with image guide. After root you can install custom Rom, App and custom setting.

Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 is outstanding phone with superb performance. It must be rooted, because root allows for you to use a maximum of your phone without any restrictions.After root you will install custom apps, custom Rom and custom setting in your phone.

Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 is powered by 1.3GHz quad core MT6582 chipset. It has 5 inch screen supports qHD 960×540 pixels resolution with 16M colors. Canvas 2.2 has LED notification, accelerometer, light and proximity sensors. Micromax A114 runs on Android 4.2.2 OS and it has 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage 1.42GB is allocated as phone storage and 1GB as internal storage.

Root your Canvas 2.2 and you can install custom Rom, custom setting and apps in your phone. But first read Root Advantage and Disadvantage by this post. So follow these steps and root your phone.

Preparations of Root:

1. Take a backup of your phone click here.
2. Your phone battery should charge 80% minimum.

Method – I

Simple steps to root Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2:

Step 1: Download Micromax A114 USB  Driver Download and install on your PC.

Step 2: Enable USB Debugging on your Phone. Go to Settings >>> Developer options >>> USB debugging check it ( If your phone have Android 4.2 or upper version then first enable Developer options here is guide of this Click here)

Step 3: Download Rootkit Click here and double click on Root kit and connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.

Step 4: Rootkit will automatically detect your Device, Now click on “Root Now”.

Step 5: Now Root processor start. After Root processor complete disconnect your Phone. Now your phone is rooted.

Method – II

Steps to Root Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 Mobile:

Step 1: Download Framaroot app click here.

Step 2: Copy Framaroot app in your phone internal storage or external SD card.

Step 3: Go to setting >>> tap on security >>> tick on unknown sources box (After install un-tick this option don’t forget it).

Step 4: Install Framaroot App on your phone. Tap on App >>> Tap on verify and install >>> Tap on Just once >>> Install.

Step 5: Open the Framaroot App and Select “Install Super Su”

Step 6: After then you will see one of these options “Boromir/Gandalf/Aragorn” and tap on it. Now Reboot your Mobile and Enjoy rooted phone. That’s all

After this root process you will find SU app in your application menu. You can manage your rooted phone by Su app. Su app work as like firewall, So you should be careful in giving permission to the any app by Su app. If you want to check your Mobile rooted or not try this app Root checker

How to unroot Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 phone:

It is must for you to know how to unroot your phone. When you feel that you don’t want rooted phone then you can easily un-install root app and unroot your phone. Here is simple steps to unroot your device. You can also see unroot process in this image.

Open Su App >>> Setting >>> Full Unroot that’s all

Hi abhishek am using micromax canvas2.2 a114 i hd rooted my device past about 6months before and also i hv unrooted it and nw am again trying to root my device so i hd installed framaroot when am selected boromir thn it displays a #9 error i hv tried all the versions of and thn i have tried my root genious the pc process and the process comes till 52% and displays a msg your device is to hard to root plzz help me out on this

  7. Hi abhushek, Please help me my name is Danish Mulla and i am using Micromax a114. I installed supersu app and hide it pro app and i hide my some pictures and app like music app, supersu app but last week i found double folder is my sd card, however i deleted the program folder where the hide it pro app store the image and app. Then i am seeing that hide it pro app doesn't showing my pictures and supersu app. Please help me i want to recover my that folder. Please help me and advise asap.

    I use micromax A114 handset, but in which showing two virus (game hub & sms reg). I used more type of antivirus, he is not remove not delete. Pls suggest me how can i remove???

    1. Thats the app given by micromax and not virus .it is identified virus becuse of its some permission and dont worry.if you want to remove it you should have rooed phone.

    I rooted my phone but i cant connect to play store via wifi or 3g after rooting. So i reset the phone and now I cant connect to any google account as it says network problem, but websites open im browsers.

  21. I have micromax A114 canvas 2.2 mobile it shows trogan horse in GAME HUB & SMS REG when i scan phone using eset node 32 antivirus. when i tried to uninstall these apps it shows uninstall unsuccessful .these two are system apps . how can i get rid from this.
    Factory reset does not work for that.

  26. Hi. My micromax canvaas has a problem of frequent automatic rebooting. If phone is not used for say 10-15 min and is lying idle. After which anything you try to do it reboots. Which means practically i am not ablevto use it for calls etc. Because for every call that would normally come after 10-15 min of phone being idle it will reboot as soon as i pick up the call….. Any solutions ? I am really fed up with this phone and it is hardly 2 weeks old. Pls help

      You can hard rest your phone by switch off your phone after few second, Press and hold Power button + Vol. up and down key in same time after that select recovery mode then choose wipe and reset phone

      Reset your phone by recovery mode

      switch off your phone after few second, Press and hold Power button + Vol. up and down key in same time after that select recovery mode then choose wipe and reset phone
